Behavior Contracts

These behavior contracts were created for students who needed extra reminders and motivation to be respectful listeners in class. The first was for third graders, who marked on a 3-point scale how many reminders they needed during each subject of the day. The second was designed for 5th graders in a 90 minute block class. They graded themselves every 15 minutes according to how respectful and quiet they were. I had a lot of success with these behavior contracts, with the majority of the students learning to monitor and control their behavior and eventually being taken off their contract.
